Example: a monthly update on the search project.
- Progress
- The supplier’s access test needs review. The delivery owner must update the budget forecast.
- Risk
- Some documents still have no owner. The sponsor needs to resolve this.
- Proposed change
- Add another information source. Check the cost, timing, permissions and acceptance tests before agreeing.
- Recommendation
- Finish and test the agreed workflow first. Record the sponsor’s decision and reasons.

Who does what
Before we start
The project
- One approved plan with budget, milestones, acceptance criteria and reporting access.
- A named daily delivery owner. A suitable plan from your team is fine.
Authority
- Agree Rupert’s authority to challenge suppliers, direct agreed priorities, request evidence and obtain recovery plans.
- Your sponsor keeps spending, scope, risk and final acceptance decisions.
- Agree how to escalate slippage, forecast overspend and unresolved risks. Record decisions, owners and dates.
Who does what
We oversee
- Rupert challenges progress, follows up actions and tracks budget, milestones, risks and changes within the agreed authority.
- Agreed specialists validate technical, security, legal or regulated matters within their remit.
Your team delivers
- Your delivery owner coordinates daily tasks. Your team and suppliers implement and engineer.
- Your sponsor decides on spending, scope, risk and acceptance.
Outside this scope
- Daily or full-time project management, line management, engineering or 24/7 availability.
- A statutory director appointment or formal technical or regulatory assurance.
- You contract implementation and formal assurance separately.

The monthly allowance
Delivery reviews
- One 60-minute review each week, up to four per month. A fifth is by agreement.
- Track supplier actions, milestones, dependencies, budget and risks.
Sponsor decisions
- One monthly sponsor meeting, with a progress, budget, milestone and risk report.
- Clear decisions, action owners and due dates.
- Review up to two material scope or budget changes, with a recommendation for the sponsor.
Between reviews
- Agree business-day response times, working weeks, reporting inputs and the escalation channel.
- Access is bounded; emergency or unlimited support is not included.
Fees and boundaries
Fee, term and changes
Monthly scope
- US$4,500 reference: one project, up to two main suppliers and the allowance above.
- US$3,000: one supplier, fortnightly reviews and lighter oversight.
- US$6,000: a more complex agreed scope, subject to capacity and written limits.
Term and payment
- Initially three months, or a shorter agreed pilot. Then monthly with 30 days’ notice.
- Billed monthly in advance. Tax, engineering, supplier fees and formal assurance are extra.
If the work changes
- Another project, daily management, more than two material changes or more frequent reviews requires a scope and fee review first.
- We do not bill Direct and General Advisory for the same project work. Broader advice needs a separate scope.
